Thank you for sharing this. The pictures are breathtaking.
“Each day we have 20 difficulties,” Philippe Jost, who headed the
restoration task force, told me. “But it’s different when you work on
a building that has a soul. Beauty makes everything easier.”I can’t recall ever visiting a building site that seemed calmer,
despite the pressure to finish on time, or one filled with quite the
same quiet air of joy and certitude. When I quizzed one worker about
what the job meant to her, she struggled to find words, then started
to weep.
Thank you the article. The article was inspiring in this otherwise chaotic world. We will be visiting Paris this spring and I will do everything in my power to get inside.
Thanks for sharing Steve. We’ll have to plan a return trip just because of Notre Dame.
Lovely article. Thanks for sharing. No plans to go to Paris in the next few months but you never know and I can’t wait to see the interior and exterior restorations.
There was also a recent 60 Minutes episode featuring some great footage. The revived murals are incredible.

We're going to be in Paris in late June and I promise you this will be on the top of our list to see! I love Paris and I wanted to cry when I saw the video of it burning so this will be a wonderful treat just to walk in there one more time.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed this , many thanks for your thoughts , Steve
