When I visited Chartres Cathedral in June 2015, they were in the process of erecting scaffolding for some extensive renovation work, which meant the stained glass windows were blocked. Does anyone know if this work is completed yet?
The stained glass windows in the nave are not blocked by scaffolding or anything else, so you can see those.
There is still a little more "whitening" work to be done on the stone work, as well as some restauration of stained glass located elsewhere in the cathedrale, which should be finished in about a month.
