I am looking for private tour guide recommendations for visiting Notre Dame Cathedral in mid October.

A private tour guide for Notre Dame cathedral really isn't necessary. The reservations are available two days out and from the recent entries here, it seems the lines move pretty quickly. Also, lots of companies say you "skip the line". This isn't really an issue at Notre Dame. I would get an early reservation most days, or a later one on Thursdays when it is open later. Of course, if you want someone to discuss the art and architecture inside and outside, that is different, but there is a lot written about the cathedral that you could find yourself.
You might search the poster here, "emilyofnotredame" who really has all you need to know about seeing the cathedral.
