Normandy tours and Christmas markets

Is there any chance that I could combine a trip to European Christmas markets with a WW2 tour of Normandy? Two things I would like to do ( I’ve done both already). My friends want to see Normandy and I love Christmas markets but I think the Normandy tours close down over winter. With the price of airfare I’m trying to make my vacations like a Swiss Army knife - everything combined!! We can spend a 2-3 week span so wondering if there’s a “ straddle season” . Just want to get it with one airfare! Doable? Or just a dream?

Thanks. This forum has always provided the wisest advice.

We took our daughter and SIL to France in early December 2021. The guys picked up a rental car at the train station in Paris early in the morning one day and drove to Normandy for a tour with our favorite guide, Chris, with Visit D-Day. She and I spent the day shopping and the guys were back by bedtime. Yes, it was a long day but doable if Normandy is important to you. You could easily spend a night or two in Bayeux if time allows. We also went to Colmar, Lyon and Chamonix on that trip. We did a day trip from Colmar to Strausburg, too. Great trip, with far fewer tourists due to covid restrictions still in place.

You could possibly go to Bayeau by train one day and take a tour of Normandy the next day and return to Paris by train on day three. We stayed at a fantastic B&B there named the Aggarthi/ took a private tour given by a licensed guide and it was one of the best things we ever did. He picked us up right on time at our place and dropped us off there nine hours later. Fantastic. Don't know if either of them are open in the winter. Will look up the name and post it if interested. Good luck.
