We will be in Normandy the first part of July and have been told the best way to cover the area is with a guided tour. Suggestions?
I was very happy with my Overlord Tour. That company is often recommended. There are other good ones as well. I remember multiple positive comments about Dale Booth. I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions.
We took a tour through the Hotel Churchill in Bayeux, and found it very informative. Peter Dodd
I toured with Overlord and they were very informative and we stayed at the Hotel Churchill which is 300 feet from the mini van tour pick up Point, great location.

I loved Dale Booth but I think he books up early.
Overlord Tour is a good bet as they receive good ratings and provide shared transportation using Vans. I assume you're planning to stay in Bayeux? Check the RS France guidebook for other tours, and you could also have a look at.....

- Visit D-Day (Chris Emery)
- Bayeux Shuttle
Regardless of which tour you decide on, pre-booking well in advance would be a really good idea, especially for travel in July.
