Normandy Tour Guide

I'm bringing a friend to France in October and would like to get a tour guide to show us all of the WWII sites there, Paris and Normandy. Not sure how many days that will take, but time is not an issue. Do any of you have any experience with seeing those sites, with or without a guide. My plan is to fly into Paris for a few days, then take the train to Caen and rent a car for 3=4 days to see Normandy. Mont Saint Michel is also high on the list since we missed it in trip to France 11 years ago. I would also appreciate the name of any quality guide you may have used or can recommend there. Also, any good B&B ir VRBO in or around Caen. Cost does not matter this trip. Thank you.

A slight alternate suggestion......why don't you hire a guide and let them drive you around. They know the way and you won't have to worry about anything. You can just look out the window as they are talking.

I took a tour of the Normandy area with Overlord Tours. I believe you can hire them for a private tour or you might want to take one of their regular tours.

I highly recommend Overlord tours. I like to do a combination of a tour with the flexibility of driving to explore further.

We took a private tour with HQCompany tours from Bayeau to Normandy sites and it was the best money ever spent. Picked up at our B&B at nine and back by 5:30. Our guide was outstanding.. We stayed at Villa Aggarthi in Bayeau. Just two blocks from the tapestry and several good restaurants. Enjoy your visit.

If you’re going to the American cemetery at Omaha Beach, and you have family buried there, tell them at check in. They will treat you royally and get you to the grave.
