How is the best way to tour Normandy? We booked a get your guide tour, but want to be sure there is not a better tour company or way to go.
Thank you!

Your title is confusing. Normandy is in France. To “tour Normandy from France” makes no sense.
Where is your departure city?
Apologies I updated from Paris France
Got it! The links above should be helpful!
I used Overlord last fall for D Day beaches - from Bayeux, not Paris. Tour was excellent - they also run tours from Paris. You can check reviews for Paris departure tours on places like TripAdvisor in addition to comments from RS posters.
If you are looking for specific areas of Normandy, you might indicate that if the above links aren’t sufficient. “Normandy” has many different areas and towns of tourist interest.
Overlord seems to be the default choice on RS. I’ve been on their tours….they are fine especially if you know little or no history of the campaign in Normandy in the summer of 44. There are other tour companies and small independent guides so there are endless choices. I took a tour with Gold Beach Tours that was a great introduction to the Canadian role in D-Day for example.
Paris to the Normandy beach area from Paris usually/often begins at Bayeux. It’s a long day mostly on a bus or train and the time on the invasion beaches gives a perfunctory view of segments of a battle of overwhelming proportions. But…..you’re coming to see it and in any size tour you’ll come away knowing more than you did before.
Quick question- would your plans allow for an overnight in Bayeux at all? It might make your tour options increase.
A bus tour from Paris to the D-Day beaches will mean a very large amount of time sitting on a bus. There is driving to be done from site to site, as well as from and back to Paris.
Overlord offers a full-day tour designed for people staying in Paris. It's Tour 2FS: https://www.overlordtour.com/product/tour-2fs-omaha-utah-full-day-tour-week-days-only/. You have to take an early train from Paris to Bayeux (which should be somewhat faster than a bus) and are picked up right at the Bayeux train station. The tour drops you off at the train station at the end of the day.
This makes for a long sightseeing day, but you get essentially a full-day tour. Obviously, spending at least one night in Bayeux would make for a better experience. The D-Day beaches are spread over a considerable area, and they are just not close to Paris.
