I am planning to take an overnight ferry to Portsmouth from Caan or St Malo (after visting Mont St Michel) and then visit Stonehenge during daytime before arriving London night time. Is this feasible time-wise? Any comment on this itinarary is appreciated. Thanks!
When I first saw your post heading, I thought that maybe you were in some sort of race. But, yes..it is quite doable. My personal preference would be S. Malo over Caan. Great Brittany walled city with lots of wonderful restaurants. Check your train connections out of Portsmouth and then you'll have to use a bus service or taxi to see Stonehenge.
Sounds like fun...enjoy!
thanks. teenage son insists on stonehenge as a condition for the trip. i am planning to deive to mont st michel from Paris but with the flood, don't know if its workable at all.
i am arriving in exactly 2 weeka, wonder if I should book a ticket fly out of CDG right away!?
The overnight goes to France, going the other direction is a day trip.
