The 2018 edition of Rick Steves France guide drops many of the private guides recommended in prior editions. Anyone know why?

I cannot say for certain, but my guide is a 2014 edition and I have found one is either at a new web address or is no longer in business or something of that nature. It was the Paul De Winter one. The link did not take me anywhere. I’m trying to figure out if I can get a tour for DDay Beaches at a late date.

If you're looking for a private guide google Destination Normandy. I was on a tour with Dominique and she did a great job.

There could be a variety of reasons why certain guides are no longer listed. You'd have to contract the RS office for more specific information.
I don't have a copy of the 2018 France guidebook. How many guides are listed?
