Looking for current information on car rental. We want to pick up in Rouen and return in Bayeux. The only rental i see is Hertz at a petrol station about 2 miles from our hotel. Any other suggestions? We do not want to go to Caen. I guess the petrol station makes me a little nervous in terms of business hours, but i am sure Hertz can confirm once I make the reservation.

We rented at and returned to that petrol station last week. They were very nice and efficient. It is a bit of a hike back to the center, in our case about 20 minutes as we were staying by Place St. Patrice, so you will probably want a taxi. Hertz should be able to confirm hours for drop off.

Thank you Laurel, just what I needed.
Quick Question - It is just a straight shoot. 2.2K. in to our hotel, an easy walk for us. Looking through Google it appears to have sidewalks and it is thru villages. Thought it might be more interesting than a quick taxi ride. Any memory of the ride into town?
