No tickets available for Eiffel tower during our visit

Hello,

I am trying to book our tickets online for Eiffel tower for the week of Aug 14th and I do not see any availability on this link.
http://ticket.toureiffel.fr/index-css5-sete-pg51.html
Is that normal ?
Is there going to be a long line to get the tickets if we go to the counter by the tower itself ?
Also, I would like to know where i can the museum pass.

Please advice.

Thanks,
Rani

Tickets go on sale 90 days before tour date, so yea pretty normal to be sold out if you try to purchase any time after that. We always pre-buy but I hear the lines are long. Security is also beefed up, so that adds another layer of lines.

Rani,
Unfortunately, the tickets to the Eiffel Tower go on sale (online) up to 92 days in advance, and they usually sell out rather quickly.

Yes, there will most likely be a long queue at the tower...
You may be able to still find a tour to the tower.

Another option would be to buy the tickets to the stairs, however, you must keep in mind that you'll need to climb over 700 stairs to the second level! Once on the second level, you can buy tickets to the summit.

You can buy the Paris Museum Pass at any of the museums or monuments covered by the pass.
You can also buy the pass at the tourist information office at the airports ( CDG & Orly) or in Paris

We purchased our passes at the Cluny Museum since there are usually no lines there.

Wow, that's crazy.
We didn't even think of going to Paris 90 days ago :)
Do you know how early the lines start for the tower ?

Thanks for your suggestions for the museum pass.

Rani,

Another option is to make a reservation to one of the restaurants on the Eiffel Tower (lift tickets are included with your meal)

The Eiffel Tower opens at 9:00AM, however, I think the ticket office opens at 8:30AM, but people get in line much earlier.

Edited to add...

Here are a couple of links found on previous posts:

You can also do a search on this forum (top left of screen) to get more information.

I tried skip the line tour and that is booked for the week we are there.

Priscilla, Thanks for the restaurant suggestion. It looks pretty good.
Will try to make a reservation for that :)

Thanks !

Rani,
I was editing my post when you replied.

Check out the links I posted on previous reply. There are still tickets available for your dates on those tours.

And if none of those work out -- just enjoy the view OF the Eiffel Tower from the base, from Trocadero, from the river cruise, or from almost anywhere in Paris. Then go to the top of Arc de Triomphe or (free) Galleries Lafayette and enjoy the view of Paris.

I've posted about this before so won't rehash too much. We chose not to book advance tickets, since you have no idea what the weather will be like and we didn't want to lock in a time that might turn out to be inconvenient. Maybe we got lucky, but the line was only about 40 minutes and we just chilled while waiting. Many will say that's wasted time, but we were in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower on a beautiful summer afternoon. Things could be worse.

We were there a couple of weeks ago. We had our tickets but spoke to some people who had waited in line. It was a 1 hour wait at 10 am.
Well worth the wait in my opinion :)

Pariscitvisons is a reputable long standing tour company , if you use them they are fine . I have used them a few times over last 10 years with no issues .

Hi Rani, If you haven't already book the tickets, you can try this website 'Headout'. Tickets for 14th Aug are available.
You can get the Paris Museum Pass from the official website 'parismuseumpass'.
If you under 18 or a resident of European Union under 26 yrs of age then you don't need this pass. Your entry will be free.

i have waited in line and survived the wait. It is an advantage as you choose the weather. I also went up the Tour Montparnasse, the big ugly rectangle you see from the Eiffel Tower. That has a huge advantage, you see the Eiffel Tower and so much more from the Montparnasse Tower. There is an elevator and a fee to go up to the top floor, walk up one flight to the outside roof. I highly recommend it.

Also you can see the Eiffel Tower from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. I cannot walk up all those stairs, so I did take the elevator up and walked down the zillions of steps.
