Does anyone have any idea why there would be no information about Marseille in Rick's 2018 France book?

Although Rick Steves’ books are wonderful, they do not include every possible destination.
Check other books, or online sources, for places you’re interested in visiting.

Rick is selective about the places he covers in his book but provides a great deal of detail on what he does cover. There's only so much room in a book. I've been to many places Rick doesn't cover and loved them.

He covers Marseille in his Provence & the French Riviera book.

Marseille is not the only location that's uniquely in Rick's Provence & the French Riviera. It also includes Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Nimes, Uzes, and more.

Also, if you read French, Lonely Planet has a great little book dedicated to Marseille.

Strangely, Aix-en-Provence is not included in his France book because it is featured in his TV series on Provence and is the final stop in his Eastern France tour.
