No direct trains from Bayeux to Paris on Saturday, September 28

Good morning. I am traveling from Bayeux to Paris on Sept 28. The "fastest" train available that day takes over 5 hours and involves 2 changes. On almost every day from July through mid-October, there are direct Intercities trains that take slightly more than 2 hours. I am using the OUI.sncf website.

Is there any way to find out if Intercities will be adding trains on Sept 28, or if there is a reason why there are no direct trains that day?

Thanks

There has been weekend construction on this route for years, with the actual train schedules often dire in advance but sometimes better on the actual date. So you could either change your travel date or wait another 4-6 weeks to see if better schedules are added.

For some reason, they don't list the direct trains early on (i.e., at 90 days). But in my experience, they do eventually list them as you get closer. Keep checking every few weeks. Don't worry, these trains don't sell out for a while.

I want to close the book on my original question from a month ago.

As of today, the direct Intercities trains from Bayeux to Paris are now appearing on the OUI.sncf website for Sept 28. I have been checking this site about 3 times per week for the past 2 months, and today was the first time that trains taking only 2+ hours were available.

Thanks to Laura and Phil for your good advice.
