I am looking to travel Europe mostly by train and want to utilize night trains when possible however I am having a hard time finding one from the cinque terre to marseille? Any suggestions?

Night trains are generally being eliminated in France. I seriously doubt that you will be able to find one for this trip. Last time I looked, the trains from La Spezia to Marseille leave in the mornings. Have you looked at sncf.com/en?
