My friend and I are going to Paris in June and would like to take the train from there to Rome. Are there still night trains that run from Paris to Rome? I was reading online that they might be discontinued. If there are any, what would be the best website to book the train through?

No real night train that I am aware of, at least it does not show up on the DB trip planner. The mainline rail link between France and Italy is still closed by a landslide that happened last year.
There is a night train to Nice, but when you arrive in the morning, you are still 9 hours and several train changes from Rome.
They were discontinued many years ago by now, and the blockage on the Paris-Turin route means that the only viable rail route is a daytime route through Switzerland. Unless you have time/interest in stopping over in Switzerland for a day or two, I would fly.
