i will be traveling in France for 4 days and then will be heading to Nice or Monte Carlo. I have 2 days before I board a cruise ship from Monte Carlo. Suggestions on if I should stay in Nice or Monte Carlo? If so, hotel suggestions would be helpful.

Stay in Nice there is more see and do. It is a short ride to Monte Carlo from there.

Easy choice, stay in Nice. Look at Hotel Windsor.
I assume that after you board your ship in Monte Carlo that you can drop your luggage off and visit the Royal Palace and Cathedral in Monaco.
My daughter in law very much enjoyed Nice. Heads up that if you choose to visit the church in Monte Carlo where Princess Grace was married, they enforce a strict dress code. She was wearing conservative shorts and was denied entry.
