Will be in Old Port area of Nice and would like to travel to the seaside area of Villefranche-Sur-Mer.
What would be the most efficient way to travel, train or bus?
Thank you.
Both work since they are not that far apart.
We took the bus. It was easy and convenient.
bus a couple of stops or walking for a while.
We took the train. Lovely and short ride. Either way you go will be fine.
Bus is easiest from the Old Port, depending on what part you are staying at. There is a great walk around Mt. Boron (or over, if you like a climb). If you are deep in the port area, towards Riquer, the train is better as the walk to/from the station is flatter in VSM.
Villefranche is where the cruise ships dock for Nice. I would go on a cruise in port site, like Cruisedig, that shows you how many ships will be there on the days you are considering, it makes a big difference to your experience.
The bus drives mostly along the waterfront, a pretty ride.
