Nice - hotels in June or Airbnb/VRBO recommendations?

We are a family of 4 going to Nice in June and using it as a base for 10 days to explore the area. Nice seems to have excellent connectivity for day trips where we wont need to rent a car and deal with traffic/parking.

I have been looking at hotel options but most seem super expensive as we will need to book two rooms or "family rooms". Most hotels (Hotel Negresco, Hyatt Regency, etc.) seem to be in the 1k+ Euro range/day in June. Even those are family rooms so tough to stay for 10 days in a single room. AC Hotel is in the 600-700 Euros range. What we like about these hotels is the access to beach, breakfast, daily cleaning, pool for kids, etc.

Do folks have recommendations for Airbnb/VRBO in the 500-700 Euros range that might be in a good neighborhood with access or proximity to pool or beach? Would there be another set of hotels I should be looking at?

It’s a little late for planning, but you might be able to find an Airbnb/VRBO in old town Antibes. I booked a four bedroom for 350 euro.

A group of 4 from our family are headed to Nice in April. Through this forum (thank you Suki!) we found the Nice Pebbles apartment rental company. They have really lovely apartments all over Nice at reasonable prices. If you decide on Antibes instead of Nice I would recommend Hotel Mas Djoliba - they have family rooms with beautiful views or gardens.
