I need to travel from Colmar, France to Nice, France on 5/29/18. This is a strike day. Need to be in Nice on The late afternoon on June 1 st . Any suggestions would be so most helpful. Just don't know what to do.
You can rent a car and drive from Colmar to Nice in about 8 hours. One route goes right through the Swiss alps. Could be fun! Or take a bus or roll the dice on the rails. Could also fly from Basel.
If you need to get to Nice fly Voltea

or Hop directly from Strasbourg
I assume you're referring to the rail strike. I haven't been keeping up with the French strike situation.
I'm confused about the timing, since you mention both May 29 and June 1, which are three days apart, but there are non-stop flights from Strasbourg to Nice every day during that period. Not all are grotesquely expensive. Check skyscanner.com for details. You might also check flights from Basel.
Other possibilities are a train routing through Switzerland and Italy to the Fr/It border with some sort of bus connection on to Nice, or driving. It's just over 450 miles, and there shouldn't be an horrendous drop fee since you'd be picking up and dropping off in the same country.
Basel-Mulhouse airport is equidistant from Colmar - check from there as well. Easyjet is showing direct flights starting at $58/E50. Even with the extra fees, far less than from Strasbourg.
