If you like art there are some nice museums in Nice. You might take a easy day trips to Monte Carlo by train or the charming hill top town of Èze by bus from Nice. Antibes is a nice town as well. Check out a travel guide on France like Rick Steve's or others that have organized information about what to do and day-trips and restaurants etc. in and around Nice.

Nice has a Matisse Museum and a Chagall Museum. There are also some Roman ruins. We enjoyed a visit to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in St.Jean Cap Ferrat. The gardens there are especially lovely. St. Paul de Vence is a charming village and home to the Fondation Maeght (modern art). Think Picasso, Miro, and others..

It really depends on what you want to do. Most destinations, except for certain inland hill towns, are reachable easily by bus, train or Uber. Nice is highly walkable and buses and the tram are readily available (10E for a carnet of 10 tickets)

In Nice, be sure to hit the Cours Saleya market (open every morning but Mondays, when it turns into a big antiques market) and take the trip to the top of Castle Hill (le Chateau -- there is not castle there anymore). Wander through the old town, walk along the promenade, or simply hang out on Place Massena or Place Garibaldi and the Port.

To the east, you'll find Villefranche and Cap Ferrat (and the Villa/gardens mentioned above). You could go to Eze, Monaco or Menton. I'd pick one combination as you don't have much time. Heading west, you'll hit Antibes, Biot and Cannes. Heading inland, you can get to St. Paul de Vence by bus. Many famous artists called the area home -- there are various museums for each or in collections throughout the region, with some noted above.
