Nice and Passe Sanitaire

Hello!
I'm traveling to Nice this month for a last minute trip and have applied for my Passe Sanitaire but I don't know if it will be available in time.

Has anyone been in Nice or Monaco recently and would you say the digital health pass is a necessity with the QR Code or is showing a vaccination card widely accepted? Looking for recent and relevant experiences.

Thank you!

Just returned from Nice. We have our our passes but were only asked for it maybe half the time. I heard from tour guides and others there that they had no problem with their CDC cards being accepted though. If you still haven't received your pass, try messaging through your application. Use google translate to write your message in French, let them know the urgency of the situation and ask if any additional information is needed. When we applied for ours, I got mine within 24 hours but it took 3+ weeks to get my husband's. I used the messaging through the application doing exactly what I said above and he got his pass the very next day.

If you don't get your pass and have issues with the CDC card, go to a pharmacy and get a test. It costs around 25 euro or so and a negative result will satisfy all requirements for 3 days. We used the pharmacy by the Opera for our return tests and the pharmacist there was wonderful - it's very small, we went at about 9:30 a.m. and were able to get the tests done without waiting. We asked her if she would print the results for us (standard is just an electronic copy that is uploaded to your certification wallet in the tousanticovid app) and she happily agreed, we just had to return 30 minutes after testing to allow time for the results to process and her to print the copies. The printed copy was a lifesaver at the airport.
