We are in Nice now. Transportation interruption with busses and trains. Need transportation to airport tomorrow. Taxi service "central taxi" recommended to us would not schedule car, said we should call on am. We are in Vieux Nice on a pedestrian only street. Any suggestions from anyone, please.

Janie, our hotel phoned for us shortly before we wanted to be picked up at 8:30. We were at quai des Anglais and the cost to the train station was €23. Sometimes we just have to consider the extra costs the price of the vacation! We have TGV tickets for Paris tomorrow but now also have a car reserved. I'm pretty sure we'll be driving so it'll take us a lot longer and will cost more. Also I've read there are some road blockages so it may take us a lot longer than the 8 hours that viamichelin says it should take!
