New France Restrictions and Children Under 12

We leave for France in November 2021. If you, like me, have children traveling with you, the French rules are very difficult to follow. After I read that the French were banning unvaccinated travelers, I searched the web for any guidance or information concerning children. I found the link below which appears to be fairly reliable. Since children under 12 are exempt from testing, it would also follow that the restrictions for unvaxxed travelers would not apply to them.

Thank you for finding this. Indeed, it's stated very clearly.

And my daughter turns 12 the day before we leave. Anyone have thoughts on how I should navigate this ?

The testing is fine but doesn’t that require quarantine as well?

Yeah may have to cancel. Kids and wife have the week of thanksgiving off and got a great flight deal but may not be in the cards this year (again). This would be the third European vacation covid canceled but at least we have been healthy

Is your trip around Thanksgiving? I hope that you will get further info between now and late November. Maybe give it another month before canceling. That is a grey area for sure. Another thing to consider is the news I am hearing for vaccines being available for 5-11 year old as early as mid October.
