We are staying there for a one night stop over before landing at a place for a week. I found an appealing place to stay and it is roughly halfway between our starting place and ending destination. Has anyone been there? It certainly looks nice in photos and Google street view. We will be there on a Friday night.
If you're referring to Nérac located between Bordeaux and Toulouse, which I don't think I've ever been to, it seems to be a typical village like many others in that area. I doubt many on the forum have visited Nérac either. Since you found a place to spend the night and the village seems to appeal to you, go for it.
You can check out the town's website for some sightseeing ideas. (It's in French, so you may need an online translator.)
Thanks JoLui, that is the place. Interestingly I entered my parameters into Google AI to verify my choice and the places that came up to stop at are Nérac and Casteljaloux. Nérac looks a little nicer, due to being on the river from what I can tell.
Google AI is probably a fan of King Henry IV. :)
