Anyone know the neighborhood just east of the intersection of Rue de Sevres & Blvd des Invalides in Paris? We're looking at a vacation apartment between metro stops Duroc & Vaneau for ~2 weeks in September. Any thoughts / feedback is appreciated! Thanks!
It's very quiet and can be an expensive neighborhood. Several high end shops, including Bon Marche. You will find that it's a long hike to get to the usual attractions if you enjoy walking.
Much depends on the actual street address. Have you done a GoogleMaps Street View to see what you think of the neighborhood? I'd do this before booking any place.
I think you will be all right. I have lived in Paris on several occasions and the further you are from the river, the less expensive, but the less desirable the area will be. I would not go any further south. You are still in the prestigious 7th arrondissement. The Metro system will take you anywhere you want to go, the sights are spread out. Also, Goggle Earth the address. I find this very helpful in making my arrangements in Paris. Have a great trip! JR in Orange,, CA
Thanks. We decided to book the apartment in the 7th :)
