Need Taxi From Beaune Train Station To Hotel

Hello again, my husband and I will be arriving in Beaune in Mid-June from Paris on a Sunday at about 7:30pm at the Beaune station. The hotel has told me to check with the station taxis a couple of days beforehand to find out availability. It is a 15 minute walk to the hotel if they are not available. Husband would prefer not to walk if possible due to occasional limited mobility.

Has anyone ever had to do this? How does one check with the Beaune station Taxis in advance? Is this possible? Is there another car service we could book? Thank you for any thoughts or guidance.

I would ask the hotel to arrange a driver to pick you up at the scheduled time of arrival of the train since they are within walking distance or have them clarify how you are to check the availability of a taxi at the Beaune station two days in advance. Is there a website for checking this for example.

A taxi at the Beaune train station is hit or miss. In October, my mid day arrival had no taxis. Ask your hotel for the name or two of taxi company and get in touch with them.

I just walked to my hotel. It was 10 minutes and the ground is flat.

At the very least, your hotel should give you the list of phone numbers for the taxis - typically, in a town of this size, there will not be a single number but one number per driver.
And asking the hotel to arrange it for you is not an unreasonable request...
