Hi My daughter, 14, would like to make an excursion out of the city,Paris, so she can ride a horse for at least a few hours. She is an experienced rider. I would like to find a facility that doesn't take all day to travel to. I would appreciate any information so I can at least get started and research facilities as well as transportation since I won't have a car available.

There are a few serious forests around Paris and as Chantilly is a centre of horse riding you can try to get information there. Line RER-D goes to Chantilly-Gouvieux. Hopefully this can help you further:

Bois de Boulogne has stables and is very easy by Métro, or so I have heard.
She should check with riding/hunting clubs, stables, tack-shops, etc. here. Since it's a fairly specialized interest, they may know of a great option we haven't heard of.
