Need help with where to start the process of applying for a Sanitaire pass

I have been frustrated by the current state of French government websites with instructions to apply for the Sanitaire pass. When I am directed by many sources, including the US French embassy, to a French government website to start the process, I am linked to a page that states the process of uploading information no longer works. Also, I did find that my Safari browser was unable to switch to the English version of the page but Chrome could. However, the page was not helpful.

Can someone who has had success in obtaining a Sanitaire pass, before arriving in France, point me to the initial start point? I’ve seen conflicting reports of websites for this purpose and email addresses to start the process. Thanks in advance.

My wife and I have Delta tickets to fly to Paris on December 26, 2021 and we’ve booked a hotel for 11 nights. We are excited to be able to return to Europe for the first time in three years.

I don't think any of us know what to do, nor why the French appear to have shut down what was the official means of requesting the pass sanitaire.

It certainly is bizarre to go to the site to which they had directed us, only to find that big red banner up, with no more information.

Luckily, since you are not going until the end of December, there is plenty of time for this to get worked out before you need the pass. I think for right now, all you can do is be patient.

I myself was very frustrated, so I feel your pain! It does appear they have shut it down, however, it could be because the rules for the health pass are set to expire this next month (November 15th). The plans for them were to continue with the health pass until July 2022, but, they may change it. I have not seen any updates and I would definitely wait until after the 15th of November to see if it will even be a requirement.

HOWEVER, if they do require the health pass to continue until July 2022 as of November 15th, email "sec.se-cab@diplomatie.gouv.fr" to check what you would have to do. That is the email I had to use in order to even get my health pass after over a month-long application wait with no movement (I was starting to panic as my trip is coming up). Like I said though, I would definitely wait until they decide if they are going to continue to with the health pass before emailing since for all we know, they may change it again.

Hope this made sense and I hope it helps!

It's a holiday weekend here in France so don't expect any information until at least Tuesday.

Oh, they'll continue with the health pass beyond November 15th. The fight right now between the government and the opposition in the Senate is whether the government gets carte blanche to continue the health pass through next July, or whether only through February.

Not to add to the confusion, but as of 7:30 Pacific time on Sunday, that red banner seems to have disappeared- at least when I access the site through my mobile. My frustration is with the lack of any workflow for these passes. I received my pass last week, but my wife’s currently remains in limbo. There are some really good contributions on other threads for troubleshooting. Hoping to resubmit my wife’s when the office supposedly opens again on Tuesday the 2nd.

Thanks for all your input. It is comforting to know I'm not alone in this dilemma.

I did get a reply from a general inquiry I made to the dead-link website. They said they only run the website and could not answer questions about Sanitaire passes. However they did say that you can always receive a 3-day pass with a negative Covid test in Paris. Of course that would get expense and time consuming during our 10-day-stay, but if worse comes to worse, we'll get tested three times and have the test results for the return flight as well.

I also found the honor statements that the French government requires on entry and the attestation statement that Delta needs for boarding a flight.

Thanks for the heads up about the holiday weekend and the political shiftings. I noticed that France has some of the same conflict among their politicians and the citizens over the issue that we in the United States have as well. Sigh....

We're in the same boat - we leave for our trip on November 17th. We applied for our passes on September 15th, but haven't heard anything beyond the initial confirmation email. I plan to contact the email address provided address tomorrow (since today is a holiday) and see what (if anything), we need to do. We will obviously also take our CDC cards, but I did have several restaurants specify, when I made reservations, that we would need to provide the pass sanitaire in order to be seated.

Oh, and did I mention we're also flying on American Airlines? Nothing like some covid-era travel to really get the excitement going :)

I just got back last week from Paris, every restaurant/cafe and museum accepted my CDC vaccine card when I was asked for my Pass Sanitaire. I hope this helps!

Erin E- please let me know how your flight goes…. I’ve never flown AA to Paris (Delta/Air France in the past) and I’m a bit apprehensive. It’s always been a smooth travel experience, and this year who knows!
