Need for AC in Sarlat in late June?

I usually do not do well in the heat if outside temp is >80 F but wonder if AC is necessary if we visit in late June?
The weather website says average high in June is 75 for this area.
I would like to have more hotel options if AC is not needed.
Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks.

An average high of 75 means there are often days over 80F. It's the luck of the draw whether they occur while you're there.

You can find actual, day-by-day, historical weather data for most places of tourist interest on the website timeanddate.com. I find that kind of information much more useful that monthly averages. (Also, be aware that monthly averages may be based on a period that ended many years ago, calling their predictive ability into question.)

Sarlat-la-Caneda June 2022 (15 days over 80F, highest temp 102F)
Sarlat-la-Caneda June 2021 (13 days over 80F, highest temp 93F)
Sarlat-la-Caneda June 2020 (9 days over 80F, highest temp 93F)
Sarlat-la-Caneda June 2019 (13 days over 80F, highest temp 102F)
Sarlat-la Caneda June 2020 (16 days over 80F, highest temp 93F)

Air conditioning would be an absolute requirement for me.

If it's on your mind, get it. Nothing like trying to sleep in a sticky room.

Wouldn't it be better to have it just in case you need it?

This past June, according to Accuweather, 18 days were over 80 with a few over 90 and one reaching 100.

You decide.

If you ask about AC, you should get AC.

If you find that 80 is hot, then definitely go for AC! Sarlat does get warm.

Unexpected bonus of ac: You can sleep with the windows closed. A real benefit in noisy urban locations.
