My daughter will be turning 17 in Paris June 28th. I am looking for a special place for dinner and/or lunch - maybe with a view of the city, monument, or cool street/courtyard. We aren't picky on the type of food - just want it to be memorable. Some of the dinner places I've found on a rooftop seem extremely expensive but maybe we could just go there for a drink beforehand or after dinner. It doesn't have to be a rooftop - I've seen some pretty cool courtyards that are lovely. We are staying in Marais but it doesn't have to be in that area. Thanks in advance for your help!
Consider Cafe Les Deux Magots. Relatively inexpensive for lunch, very iconic, and quite a history. Omelets are delicious. Google it and see what you think. Oh, and the Luxemburg Gardens are within easy walking distance.
I suggest one of the following: Le Calife dinner cruise (booking window starts 30 days from desired date); La Ciel de Paris at the top of the Montparnasse Tower (can't beat the view); lunch at Las Ombres at the Branly Museum, looking up at the Eiffel Tower. All of these would be memorable with lunch at Las Ombres being the least expensive at around €40 without beverage.
