Hi! Does anyone know of a tour company IN Versailles that runs tours to Giverny?
What about Day Trip Companies from Paris to Versailles to Giverny, recommendations?
I am against recommending that you do both in one day.. but Pariscityvisions does tours.. its a reputable big bus tour company. France Tourisme is also well established and reputable, and also does the tours and is offering a special of 99 euros.
You do pay a lot more then you would if you did them on your own.. and with a combo of the sights you really won't get to enjoy all of Versailles and its grounds .
Hi Pat! I actually wanted a recommendation of a tour company IN Versailles. So we were planning on traveling to Versailles by train from Paris, spending the night there then the next day traveling to Giverny. Although, it does seem like many people do these both as a day trip, I agree it would be rushed. It did not look like it was so easy to take a train from Versailles to Giverny, so thats why I thought of using a tour company from Versailles...thoughts?
Rick's guidebook Paris explains how to do a do-it-yourself tour of Giverny starting from Paris.
It's easy enough by train, but preferably by a route that does not require transferring between train stations in Paris (by taxi, bus, or Metro). For instance, I find these options on train schedules:
Versailles Chantiers station to Vernon, 10:16 or several later departures with a connection at Mantes La Jolie.
Versailles Rive Droite station to Vernon with a connection at Paris St. Lazare, departs about 7:30, 9:30, 11:30, etc.
Thanks, for the suggestions. I need the tour company help while in Versailles, I will look thru the Paris Book again and see if that can help.
