Due to airline flight changes, we are having to cut our trip short. We now must spend Saturday night at CDG. We are looking for any thoughts on where we might stay for one night on our way from La Roque Gageac to CDG....spending Friday night and allowing us part of Saturday to sightsee that area. Any thoughts are MOST welcome! Thank you.

Bourges or Tours. They are more than halfway, but you'll hit heavier traffic on Saturday as you approach and circle around Paris.

It's certainly not too far to drive in one day, pretty easy really to do that.
Note that there is a newer CDGVAL stop with 4 hotels at CDG so inside the airport complex there are at least 9 hotel options.

Orleans is on the route and Auxerre is not that far off and a lovely town for an overnight stop --
There is much to be said for getting to CDG late that night and staying at an airport hotel -- get dinner in a city on the way first. That way you are not dealing with rental check in before your flight -- quick drop and go is not as easy in France as the US. I want a receipt showing no damage and gassed up and that can take a while.
