Navigo weekly pass - updates?

The posts on this topic typically say: (a) the pass is good from Monday to Sunday; (b) you need to assemble the card from a kit, for which you need a photograph; and (c) all this can be done when you arrive in Paris. My questions:

(a) My reading of the Navigo web site indicates that the weekly pass is good from Friday to Thursday. Can anyone confirm this change?

(b) I can't find any info on the Navigo web site about a "kit" or the need for a photo. Can anyone tell me if these are still required? And if so, where can I get more details?

(c) Is it possible to get the pass from home in advance (online or by mail)? if so, is this advisable?

Thanks!

You are just wrong. the website is a badly written. You can buy the card up to Thursday of the week you use it. It is still good only to Sunday. If you buy it on Friday, it is good for the following week Mon-Sun. The 'period' of validity they discuss is Mon-Sun. The times you can buy it are as above.

So there is no change.

The Kit is a small plastic card. If you buy it at the airport or a manned station, they will simply put it together for you (this involves putting your picture in it. You do need a photo. A photocopy of your drivers license picture works well. It takes only a few moments to buy the pass. I purchased mine at the RER station at CDG.

I purchased mine at a manned metro station in Paris and it was assembled for me. When I was there last June I discovered mine had expired. When I purchased a new one the woman just used the picture from my old one. Very convenient.

You may need to assemble your own especially if there is a line. We did that when we replaced our cards last year as they had expired. I had a new picture for that purpose.
