Navigo on Smartphone

Hey folks,
I travel to Paris 2-3x a year, usually for less than a week at a time. I'm wondering if I can load a navigo card onto my iphone (like the smartrip card or oyster card)? I usually buy carnet tickets and then just plug those into machines (simple enough, but they're paper and I have to frequently reload at a machine, especially when traveling with my family of four).
Any thoughts on this? There are so many navigo options, but it seems like a Navigo Easy could go onto my phone and hopefully be reloaded digitally and then used to access the turnstiles with my phone.

Thanks!

Just watched a Youtube regarding metro/train tickets. Not Navigo, but very informative. It's produced by Les Frenchies and is titled How to Buy Metro and Train Tickets in Paris. (there are many such videos but I found this one by Les Frenchies had good information.)

Please note this potentially rather key piece of information at the link that heather posted :

The majority of NFC Android phones from Android version 8 and above are potentially compatible

That, to me, says that iPhones are not compatible (and also makes a sense because for a while now, only Samsung phones have been compatible. So if they've enlarged to all somewhat up-to-date Android phones, all the better, but I wouldn't count on this working if you (or anyone else reading this thread) have an iPhone.

Iphones are not compatible because Apple was unwilling to do it without charging the RATP folks.

I personally am not looking forward to constantly being held up by tourists fiddling with their phones at the metro entrances. It is bad enough at concerts and theater.

I'm sorry for my confusion. I have an iPhone and already downloaded the RATP app. It seems to work. However, I do NOT see a separate NAVIGO app or SNCF app, and I'm not sure which one is the one where you can purchase or "top up" the NAVIGO Easy card. Can anyone clarify? Thanks!

You cannot use an iphone to be topped up as a pass. You need the physical card. Only some android models work in that way. My Google Pixel does not.

Balso,

I have a Pixel 6 (the latest version is a 7) and I just checked my compatibility to load a Navigo easy and the SNCF app says yes. Do you have an older phone or have you checked it recently?

Using either the Bonjour RATP app or the Île-de-France Mobilite app, and a linked payment card, any smartphone can load fares to an exiting Navigo Card (Easy or Decouverte).

Most Android phones may be used as a card replacement if they have an appropriate fare, and the app is active, screen illuminated as the turnstile is passed.

Some newer Samsung phones can be used as card replacements, even if the phone is off, as their circuitry contain the elements of an Navigo card.

It's a Pixel 4a! Too old I guess. I have a card anyway, so the feature is useless to me, I was just curious a few months ago and my previous phone, a Samsung, could be used that way in 2019-2020.
