We need to purchase a navigo jour pass at CDG for a day trip into Paris. This will be on October 9 so after the Olympics. Can I add the navigo jour pass to my existing navigo easy card without losing (using) my existing Metro carnet which is already on the card? I'd like to save the Metro tickets I already have on the card for another time and use the navigo jour pass for just the one day. Any ideas?
As I understand the rules, you may add a Navigo Jour pass onto an Easy card which already contains tickets t+. Note, the zone 1-5 Navigo Jour (day pass) is 20.60€ vs. the pass Paris 2024 which is 16€, valid until 9 September.
What you may not do is add a ticket MTA (airport ticket) to an Easy card which already has tickets t+.
Thanks, Tocard. Do you know if the pass Paris 2024 is available at CDG and includes zones 1-5?
The Pass Paris 2024 is sold at all the normal outlets; i.e. métro/RER/SNCF stations, tabacs, or magazine stores, until 9 September. It is a zone 1-5 pass and includes every public transportation option within the Ile de France: funicular, tramway, OrlyVal, métro, buses (to include airport buses), RERs, and Transilien trains.
Thanks, Tocard. I won't be in Paris until October 9 so it sounds like the Pass Paris 2024 will not still be available at that time. Too bad. Sounds like it's a very good deal.
