Navigo Decouverte Card / Metro travel

From what I have read about the Navigo Decouverte card it works from Monday to Sunday. I will be arriving on Saturday afternoon and will be using the Metro Sunday through the following Wednesday evening. What would be my best choice for transportation for 4 days? Thanks for your help.

Buy a Navigo Easy card for 2 EUR, then load 10 single ride tickets for 16.90 EUR.

I’d go with the Navigo Easy card. It costs 2€ for the plastic card then I’d load a carnet of 10 rides on it. That will probably carry you through your 4 days. You might have a few rides left to get you started the next trip, lol.

And you can just get a ticket for 11.45 for the train if arriving at CDG and going into Paris -- or if you are several people, get a cab from the airport. If you arrive by train and stay in Paris, then the Navigo Easy is all you need. Note these tickets are ONLY good for travel inside Paris -- if you head out to Versailles or Fontainbleau or Provins or whatever you need specific point to point RER tickets.

Thank you for your answers. That sounds very reasonable. We will be taking the train/bus to Fontainebleau and Barbizon, so we’ll have to buy tickets to those locations. Our hotel is making arrangements for a private car to pick up my husband, myself and our friends who are traveling with us at CDG.

To go to Fontainebleau, each person will need two RER tickets (5€ each) and two tickets t+ (2.10€) each. You might consider purchasing a zone 1 to 5 weekly pass (30€ valid Mon to Sun) and loading it onto a Navigo Découverte card (5€). This option covers all travel options starting Monday, including the back back to the airport when you leave.

If this private ride costs more than 55 to the right bank or 62 to the left you are being ripped off. That is all it costs from the official cab line which is quite easy and efficient. (and you don't have to walk a long distance to where private cars services are allowed to park to fetch passengers.
