My husband and I will be traveling with two of our grandchildren, ages 13 and 14. Apparently children under 18 are free at most museums in Paris. I was planning to buy the Museum Pass and was looking forward to the benefit of skipping the long ticket buying lines. I read the Pompidou requires kids to collect a ticket at the tills, but I didn't see that mentioned for any of the other museums. Will we still have the benefit of easier entry with the Museum Pass with the children?
I'm not aware that the Pompidou does require kids to pick up a free ticket - you might want to check your source. Two locations that do have that requirement are the Musee de l'Armee (lines not likely to be a problem) and the Arc de Triomphe. Otherwise, free kids usually enter without a ticket.
Thank you Laura, that's great to know.
