Museum pass Query

Hi Team

Season's Greetings! It would be my first time travel to Europe with Family. hence need little help.

We are coming to paris on 15th May i.e friday at 6.30 pm at CDG.

Planning to procure Paris Museum pass for 5 adults (please note that our 2 families have total of 3 children whose age is 11 yrs 1 month during the time of travel). Here I've a few questions

1) Do we really need to procure 3 children pass as well as the Paris museum pass website is saying some contradicting info? One point they are saying a) The Paris Museum Pass is not a great deal if you're traveling with children. Most attractions in Paris allow free entry for children or reduced fees at the least b) at the same time, I understood that all the museums are free for children. So please clear the ambiguity.

2) If I'll procure the 5 museum pass via online - then can I collect it from CDG Terminal 1 or directly from Louvre?

3) planning to procure t+ 10 carnet ticket to ride bus and metro - do you think it makes sense?

Please help. Thank you.

Regards, Samir

Dear Lazslomoholy

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

Nice to know that we can pick the pass from CDG Terminal 2 as we are coming into that one.

Now one more help need - I saw on this forum and Tripadvisor that parents are of the opinion that there are a few museums where we need to collect the children Free pass hence one have to be in the queue. Do you have any update which is the museum out of my bucket list so that we can avoid as we are travelling only for 2 days and don't want to spoil the time except the security check-in. (Sainte Chapelle + Conciergerie, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Musée de l'Armée - Invalides, Notre Dame won't open by that time).

Also, any idea whether mid may would be in general a high tourist time as am worried about big line which I read a lot.

Please guide me am I missing anything important. Please guide.

Regards, Samir

Dear Samir,

May is very much high season, but to the best of my knowledge none of the sites you plan to visit charge for children, nor ask for children Free passes, as they accompany people who have Museum Passes, you and the other adults in your family. You can check on each individual museum website the tickets conditions if you want to be reassured.

I believe that both the Arc and Invalides require you to go to the ticket booth and obtain a free ticket for children when entering with someone with a museum pass. These are the only sites that require this.

I travelled with two teens and at both the Louvre and Sainte Chapelle they just walked in with me when I showed my adult museum pass. I did not need to get any ticket for them. My 16 year old looks older, and he did have to show his passport at the Louvre to prove he is under 18. I brought his passport to Sainte Chapelle but they did not ask for it.

Thank you so much Travel4fun

This info is really helpful for our 3 children who are 11 yrs.

Might be all the children won't be able to go top and along with my mom because of stairs @arc de triomphe.

About Invalides, I've not yet plan as I'm not sure whether I'll be able to cover.

My only concern is that as am planning to purchase paris museum pass online, I hope I can get the physical pass from CDG terminal 2c where Air India will be landed at 8 pm. The link says, I can collect it from Gare Du Nord or Paris Tourist office.
http://en.parismuseumpass.com/rub-t-points-of-sale-3.htm?cat=6&type=3. I don't want to spoil the morning time to go there and collect it physically as I've only 2 days plan. I know they can send the consignment but wanted to save cost as well.

If anyone can please put some light, it would be really great.
