Museum Pass - current wait times without reservations

We will be in PARIS for a week starting Friday September 9 and plan to buy a museum pass. Currently how long are the wait times without reservations?

For which museums?

You’ll need a timed entry for at least the Louvre even with a museum pass. In looking at the official Louvre website there are still entry times available for tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.

Are you sure the Museum Pass will be a good deal for you? With timed entries for many of the major museums, at this point the Pass has lost value for just being able to walk in.

Jim, yesterday, Monday, at 3pm we (family of 4) went to the Louvre without a reservation. It took about 15 minutes from when we got in line to enter until we had the tickets in hand.

Today we went to the Cluny Museum at 3:30pm and walked right in.

Thanks for the heads up. I plan to use a museum pass to try to gain access to museums on my schedule. Just in case, I booked a time for the Louvre but hope to gain access at an earlier time. I’m still interested in what others are recently experiencing as I will start using the pass Friday and into next week.

This has caught me off guard - do I need to schedule times for other museums in Paris on our 2 day pass?

So far so good with pass without reservations:

Louvre: Friday at 3 PM Pyramid person at get tickets on line felt sorry for us and let us in - line rather long and would have been nice to have made reservations early on

Clunky: Friday 1 PM walked right in

Saint-Chapel: 10:30 long line with out reservations. Reservations would have been helpful to avoid a long line but got in. There was a line for reservations.

Picasso: Sunday 1 PM walk right in

Orangerie: Monday noon walked right in

Rodin: will let you know

Orsay: will let you know

We used a 6 day museum pass 7 times in the past week. We were able to quickly get in most museums without reservation’s. Today we completed our stay in Paris with quick entry to Orsay and Rodin. IT is nice to me more like pre-covid and avoid ticket lines and save money with the museum pass.. The only problem we had was at St Chapel with a long waist line. We got timed entry there. The Louvre might also present a problem.
