The Musee Jacquemart-Andre will be closed from August 2023 through September 2024 for major restoration work.
Thanks EP. Wouldn't you know that MJ-A is on my list of places to see in September 2023?! This Paris trip of nine nights is to just walk, eat outside, view architecture, etc. The only museum for us to see was the MJ-A. My only other plans are to buy Cerises Noires (black cherry jam for gateau basque which I will make for Thanksgiving); visit Pere Lachaise; and go one more time to the Eiffel Tower. I guess, I'll just have to return in October 2024! Thank you for the heads up.
Thanks Lindy. MJ-A has been on my radar for a very long time, but I have never actually made it there. 2025 will be here before we know it!
I was planning on going this October:(. As an alternative, I am thinking of going to Musée Nissim de Camondo..

Amy, I think that is a great choice! Honestly, I preferred the Musee Nissim de Camondo to the Musee Jacquemart-Andre. If you go, I would recommend getting the audio guide to listen to as you are wandering the museum.
Thank you Dawn! I will do that!
It is such a gem and the tearoom is so darn fabulous.
The MUSÉE NISSIM DE CAMONDO is a wonderful museum set in a mansion. It is also close to the lovely Parc Monceau which my husband and I strolled after visiting MNDC.
Two weeks in Paris last year, the Jacque-Mart was maybe my favorite and I went to many! The audio guide is excellent! And not crowded!
