Does anyone have any "updated "information on the August opening of this museum? It has been closed since July, 2018, in order to move to a new location. Do not remember the opening date, other than it was mid-August, we arrive early September. Anyone know if the opening is on time?
Looks like August 27th

I went to the old museum and it was very good
I'm looking forward to visiting this museum! Hoping it opens when projected. I'll be there the end of Sept.
The website is still showing all the old information on access (when it was at Gare Montparnasse) so I hope this doesn't mean delays.
It reopens on August 25th. Have a look at this page:

Thanks Ashley MIA.
Will check back in September to see waiting time.
An article purporting to explain Napoleon's defeat by a single salient detail...a tactical one at that.
Looked good until I saw the "only by stpaircase -- 100 steps" information about the underground command center. On the other hand, there is an option of a virtual visit to the command center from the accessible museum. Hmm ... needs further research.
Ohhh, thanks for bumping this up. I've got it pencilled in for my visit next month. Looks like it's OPEN and free altho they have an Online Ticketing button on the website so perhaps at some point they will charge for it.
I'll see what the stairs look like and decide whether to visit the Command Center or not.
editing to add: I also see there is an app for the permanent collection but it is "unavailable for download" in my area so I guess you have to download it onsite. I love the app for the Rijksmuseum and am always looking to see what museums are offering along that line now.
