Hi all, apparently Musée de l'Orangerie will be closed from the end of January to March 3 for construction.. Tickets are not showing for any dates in April or future months. . I understand many museums only go on sale 60-90 days in advance. Does anyone know what was usually the dates for them in the past? I’ll set a reminder to keep checking back, but since they appear to be sold out for the rest of January I don’t want to wait too long and miss them.

I will be there the first two weeks in April and hoped to see l'Orangerie but have received no response from them or d'Orsay as far as tickets are concerned??

We will be there the first week of April so hopefully the construction goes as planned and they will be selling tickets for those dates. I will be disappointed to not be able to go. I am also planning on going to Musée Marmotten as well as Musee d’Orsay. Impressionism is my favorite.

Honestly, I went to the Orangerie in October and was shocked at how crowded it was. I had an afternoon timed entry and it was shoulder to shoulder in the lower floor. I did not even attempt to go into the 2 rooms with the waterlilies that are on the entry level. I've seen them multiple times before and really just wanted a look at the lower level since it's reno a few years ago.
I also went to the Orsay with a 930 timed entry and the 5th floor rooms where the Impressionists are were very manageable. I did not visit the Marmottan this last trip.
I looked at the Orangerie ticketing site and I see tickets available for the next 2 weeks including tomorrow, Sunday. Then, of course from the 29th on it's closed. I think usually they go 2 or so months out for booking. In looking at the Orsay ticketing on today you can buy tickets thru March 16 so I expect you would see the same date range available if the Orangerie were open during March. When I went in October, I literally bought the ticket that morning because I had a change of plan. This museum MAY book out during the Easter period though so if you are visiting then, I'd keep looking. Maybe use a different browser to see the ticket availability for the rest of January?

Hi Pam, I checked the website and saw there were tickets for January so I guess there was a glitch the day I checked. It will be on my calendar to keep checking regularly. Even if packed I still want to see it. After all I survived the crush of the Vatican. It couldn’t be worse Han that could it?
