If I buy tickets online can I just show the receipt at the box office or do they require a print out? Website doesn’t say.
When purchasing tickets online, the website says you may:
Pick them up at any FNAC. You must have, in your possession, the same credit card with which the tickets were purchased as well as a valid ID.
Print the ticket at home.
There are no other stated options.
There is also a separate line for visitors with pre-purchased tickets or passes:
https://www.musee-orsay.fr/en/visit/welcome.html
Entrance A: individual visitors without ticket
Entrance C: members, visitors with tickets or passes, priority access
You can't pick them up at the Museum; you have to print them at home. A receipt is not a ticket; it won't get you in and you can't pick them up at the museum. the website says that: to whit:
"You can print out tickets purchased in advance and enter the museum through the reserved entrance (entrance C).
The museum entrance ticket is valid for 3 months.
Please note: tickets bought online cannot be picked-up at the museum."
Thank you to all. It still was not clear to me if they would accept a receipt as a ticket. Or if an E-ticket would issue with the purchase. Is the Louvre the same or do they issue an e-ticket with an in-line purchase? Trying to avoid the line but don’t need a museum pass. TIA
