I wish we were going to be in Paris on that day! We were so tempted by the Muse Clues Orsay tour, but (for our family) could not justify the price for only three people. We ended up going with another guide, who also included a little booklet and treasures for the kids but at about half the cost, and had a fabulous time! On thing I came to appreciate is just how important it is to a have a private guide in colossal museums such as the Louvre and Orsay. Guides know the museums like the back of their hand and can efficiently weave the various works of art into a story that is engaging and entertaining for all. My kids love art and history, but if we just wandered around aimlessly from room to room we would not have had such an amazing experience. I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question directly, but just wanted to confirm your suspicion that a private guide is the way to go! Also, I'm hoping you report back after your trip. We are returning to Paris in the fall and are considering the Muse Clues tour of the Louvre:)
