Multiple visits to France on the 4 country ticket

As I will be arriving in Paris from London on the Eirostar and want to travel to Spain, Portugal, France and Germany on the four country ticket it means I will be starting in France then travelling to Spain and Portugal and then passing back through France to Germany. Is this possible please?

That's normal. Nobody is counting how many times you cross borders within your four-country territory. But do reserve well ahead for trains to/from/in France; see also France Reservation notes which give you roughly the reservation fees, although some have changed. If you haven't yet bought the pass and want to compare flight prices for a few longer trips, try www.skyscanner.com.

Thanks Laura and Dick. I'm a newbie to travel. Leaving London on Friday on the Eurostar and still haven't bought this ticket nor the Eurail ticket! Ginger it is called a Select Pass. Happy travelling.

If you haven't got your Eurostar ticket and plan to use the train THIS Friday - like 36 hours from now - you'd better get your ticket NOW. If you are in London, go to St Pancras now, or find another way to get one. You will be paying full price, if any seats are still available.

I haven't looked, but on a Friday in July, with English schools just broken up for the summer, you may find that your chances are between slim and none. You will have to take what is left, if any.

Don't count on just rocking up to the counter on Friday and asking to go on the next Eurostar. It could be an unhappy experience.

If you are leaving for France in 36 hours, how will you get your Select Pass?

It was a bit hair raising in the end but I was able to buy a Eurostar ticket and yesterday arrived in Paris and my Eurail Pass had been delivered to my hotel. I have learned my lesson though not to leave everything to the last minute! Thank you everyone for your advice.
