Multiple train stations in some cities

Are there more than one train station in the following cities: Lyon, Colmar, Strasbourg, Marseille? Most importantly, Strasbourg, because we will be going by a TER train from Colmar to Strasbourg, in the morning, and in the evening a OUIGO train to Paris. We would like to leave our bags in a storage locker at the same station we leave from to Paris. When I look up a train trip it doesn't mention the station of departure nor arrival. I'm sure it does after you book, but I'd like to know ahead.

I can't answer for all the cities but I do know that Lyon has more than one station. If no one else answers, you can always try googling or do a test run of buying the Strasbourg tickets and you will see ahead of time.

mlw5000,
I have never taken the train to Lyon, Colmar or Strasbourg, but Marseille has only one, Gare St. Charles.

That is a hint that there is only one station, at least main one. if it were a different station, it would have a different name, like Strasbourg-Roeithig.

All direct trains between Paris and Strasbourg are to/from Paris Gare de l'Est, sometimes just called Paris Est.

Lyon has more than one station, but the main one is Lyon Part-Dieu. The other is Lyon Perrache, which is mostly local trains. If you see Lyon-St Exupery, that is the airport, outside of town.

Strasbourg only has one main train station, which goes to the one station in Colmar.

Lyon has Part Dieu which is sorta main station and the other near the confluence where the rivers meet.

Strasbourg does have a locker system. There is a police office facing the tracks. You pass a guard and get access to a back room with a dozen lockers or so.

Colmar if I recall has two although maybe it just looked different when I came 2nd time.

Avignon and Aix-en-Provence have local stations and TGV stations out of town.

Paris has six I think.

Man in Seat 61 knows all this and I'm sure it is in every RS guide

whenever I have booked train travel it always shows the station before final booking. e.g. there are two in Montpellier and when I was traveling there, it always noted which station before I booked. Lyon has two and same thing. And Paris has about 7 or so and it always mentions which one.

Strasbourg has two stations; the main one is called Strasbourg and it does have a left luggage service. If the booking engine is showing Strasbourg-something else then it is probably not the main station.

From SNCF Connect and Google Maps Colmar has 3 stations (with Colmar in the name), but the other 2 are suburban stations that no tourist would use. On SNCF Connect the station you will use for both trains is called Colmar Grand Est.
Likewise Strasbourg has a suburban station called Strasbourg Roethig, but you will use Strasbourg Grand Est for your connection.
