Mt. Pilatus

If you would like responses from those with local knowledge, I would suggest you repost your question on the Swiss forum, since that is where Mt. Pilatus is located.

These questions are nearly impossible to answer since weather can be a big variable at that time of year and especially on a mountain. The temperature on a lake will be cooler because the water is cold. A jacket could be useful on a lake. It might be raining, could be windy -- all have impact on temperature - wind chill. I would have a jacket and maybe a light sweater in the day bag. You never know.

Before you leave for Lucerne check Accuweather to see what the weather will be; it is important to layer as it maybe warm down in Lucerne and colder and windy up on Mt. Pilatus - the trip is wonderful as it had both a cable car and cogwheel train and the views

AccuWeather baciscally repackages weather forecast and data. A better source of Swiss weather forecast and data is the Swiss Federal Office of Meteorology (MeteoSwiss):
