Hi! We are planning to stay in Beynac de Canada on the Dordogne River in mid September. Our research suggests there might be bad mosquitoes at this time of year. Anybody travel there in Sept. 2021? I know repellents can help. But was it bad enough to ruin the experience for you? Thanks! Timi
Check if the windows have screens, not common in much of Europe.
Hi mosquitos are not an issue in september, in Dordogne
I can only comment on our visit to the Dordogne a number of years ago in September. We canoed the Dordogne River and did not encounter Mosquitoes. We did encounter Mosquitoes in Provence-Arles! That said, we always carry mosquito repellant wipes. I recently read this article that may be helpful?

I don't know where "Beynac de Canada" is. Beynac-et-Cazenac is a small town on the Dordogne west of Sarlat-le-Caneda, a larger town. I'd be surprised if mosquitoes were an issue, except maybe in some marshy areas, and especially at the end of summer. Our visit was in May and we had no problems.
We didn't have a mosquito problem in September when we were there a few years ago but not that the window screen has not yet been invented in France and Italy and the devises to repel mosquitos are worthless. If you have any reason to think mosquitos will be an issue be sure to bring your own effective repellents as it is also hard to buy effective repellent in Europe.
