More than 1 Wine Tasting in Beaune on RSMY Tour?

Hi! This is my first post (yay!) and my husband and I have paid our deposit on our first RS My Way tour (Best of Europe this Fall) - this is our first trip to Europe but we've done Napa and Lodi in CA so we're interested in wine.

My question is... whether or not this particular tour allows enough time to do 2 tastings/ tours while at the short Beaune stop. I've done some research and it's tough to narrow down so I'd love to squeeze more than one in if possible. Any insight on the timing is very helpful!

Thanks so much!!

This may have received more attention in the Tours Forum but I will give it a BUMP here to see if anybody has an answer.

Why don't you call and ask the folks at Rick Steves that manage the tours? (Yes you may get someone here who's taken that tour and can provide that insight, but maybe not . . . surely the tour staff could answer straightaway.)

Good luck!

A couple of years ago, I was in Beaune, and took a mini-van tour of the Cote de Nuits, then the same mini-van of the Cote de Beaune. This was all done in one afternoon quite successfully. I can't remember right now the name of the tour company, if you care private message me and I'll see what I can recall.

Oh, and in one tasting room in the core, they have very reasonably priced tastings of Chambertin - sigh!

We did this tour in 2013. As I recall, we arrived pretty early in the day. We had lunch, went to the tourist center, and had a very leisurely tasting before dinner. We went to Patriarche. There were miles of caves and they just let you wander through practically unattended, serving yourself into your little silver cup. If we had pushed it (and not served ourselves quite so generously), we could probably have done 2. We did not see the hospital.
We had such a good time on our trip. I know you will, too!
