Hello! I am looking for recommendations for a day tour company to Montserrat, out of Barcelona. We would like a full day with the Abbey, the park, etc. We would prefer a small group or private tour, if possible. We have 4 people, over 55. Walking/ light hiking is not a problem. We will be there September 18th.

There is no need for a tour. Trains run from Barcelona to Montserrat every hour. Just go when you please, stay as long as you want, and return when you have seen it,,,

We did this many years ago on our own just taking the train from Barcelona -- it was a spectacularly lovely day. After visiting the church we wandered around on the trails in the hills before returning -- lovely lovely place and no tour needed. If public transport is available I think you always have a better experience on your own -- or at least we do as we hate being led around on someone else's time table.
